International LGBTQ Leaders Conference
Powering the Rainbow Wave
December 6-8, 2018 • Washington, DC
Pre-Conference Programming Begins December 5
Every December, more than 500 LGBTQ elected officials, leaders and advocates from across the world come together for the International LGBTQ Leaders Conference in Washington, DC. The conference includes three days of networking and skills building as we strategize the year ahead in our movement for equality.
Last year’s speakers included U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, U.S. Senator Cory Booker, Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, and dozens of others. More great leaders are on the way for 2018!
“As a newly elected state legislator, the conference was a tremendous opportunity for me to learn from LGBTQ leaders who already held public office. Whether strategies for passing legislation, model policies on LGBTQ and other issues, media training or even just conversations about being an out official, the experience is invaluable for LGBTQ leaders looking to make change.”
– Colorado State Representative Leslie Herod
“Only at the Leaders Conference can you network with the LGBTQ community’s top elected officials and leaders all in one place – members of Congress, mayors and state legislators. Strategizing about what’s next in our movement with colleagues from around the world is an invaluable opportunity to work collectively toward meaningful change.”
– California State Senator Ricardo Lara
“The diversity of voices at the conference is powerful – LGBTQ leaders from around the world and across America coming together to share ideas and learn from experts in their fields. Each year I leave more inspired, more motivated, and more confident that LGBTQ public leaders are uniquely positioned to move forward equality for all of our communities.”
– Pennsylvania State Representative Brian Sims
