Through our internships and fellowships, you can work in the U.S. Capitol, attend our four-day Candidate & Campaign Training, or take advanced leadership training sessions at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. Our Political Appointments Project aims to secure appointments in pro-equality presidential administrations.

Victory Congressional Internship

“Victory Institute provided the advice and resources necessary to make the internship successful. I definitely think it is best to work on the Hill through an organization like Victory Institute because there is much more support.”

Tayler Butler (interned with U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin)

We bring outstanding LGBTQ college students to Washington, D.C. year-round (Spring, Summer, Fall) for an intensive leadership program that includes an internship with an LGBTQ-friendly member of Congress.

Victory Empowerment Fellowship

“Through the Victory Empowerment Fellowship, I gained the experience and knowledge that is needed to ensure my campaign is strong and successful. The Victory staff, as well as the alumni, are now like family.”

Victory Congressional Fellowship

“The Congressional Fellowship has been invaluable to me. Through the fellowship, I am able to engage in substantive, meaningful work and get an understanding of how Capitol Hill works in ways I would never have otherwise.”

Political Appointments Program

“I am a product of the Political Appointments Program. Putting me on the list brought my name to the attention of people who didn’t know I was gay, but knew me in different capacities.”

Eric Fanning, Former Secretary of the Army

The Presidential Appointments Initiative works with LGBTQ leaders and pro-equality presidential administrations to ensure LGBTQ people are included in government.

Women Out to Win Fellowship
