Join the world’s largest annual gathering of LGBTQ elected leaders at our 2020 virtual conference.
About the Conference
The three-day International LGBTQ Leadership Conference is the place to be if you’re looking to grow the power of the LGBTQ community. Each year, hundreds of LGBTQ elected and appointed officials, advocates, community leaders and others gather for plenary events, issue-based workshops, networking and an exclusive elected officials track for those leading on LGBTQ legislation and policy worldwide. Last year’s speakers included U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, U.S. Rep Sharice Davids, Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, and dozens of others. More great leaders are on the way for 2020!
This is the first time the conference will be completely virtual. Registration for the 2020 conference is free.
While the agenda for the 2020 conference is being finalized, here’s what you can expect:
- Substantive sessions on policy affecting our communities. Because of the quality of our conversations and the geographic spread of our attendees, the International LGBTQ Leadership Conference is a catalyst for large-scale change each year.
- Opportunities to engage with some of the most powerful members of our community. We take pride in our ability to throw a good party. So while this year may look different, expect multiple opportunities to socialize with your fellow LGBTQ leaders.
- Best practices from around the world. We know that our global community stronger when we learn from each other. Over 30 countries are represented at our conference each year.
In 1984, two dozen LGBTQ elected officials came together for the first time and estimated there were no more than 50 openly LGBTQ officials in the entire world. Thirty-five years later, the International LGBTQ Leaders Conference is a “must-attend” event for LGBTQ leaders looking to exchange ideas and determine legislative and policy priorities for the coming year.
LGBTQ Victory Institute thanks the generous sponsors of the 2020 International LGBTQ Leaders Conference.
