Roshni Powers is the newest Victory Congressional Fellow named by LGBTQ+ Victory Institute.
This competitive 10-month fellowship brings one outstanding young LGBTQ+ professional to Capitol Hill to work in the Congressional Equality Caucus, supporting the Executive Director of the Caucus. As a fellow, Roshni will also participate in a leadership development program that explores the policy-making process and dives into the pressing issues facing the LGBTQ+ community. Her fellowship began in September and will end in June 2027 with a policy briefing. Learn more about Roshni below:
Roshni Powers (she/her) is a recent graduate of Georgetown University, where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Foreign Service after majoring in Culture and Politics with minors in Spanish and Creative Writing. Through her experience as an intern for Representative Linda Sánchez and the Feminist Majority Foundation, she has become a strong advocate for LGBTQ+ rights, equitable healthcare access, and gender equality. She hopes to build a career in public interest law, and is excited to begin her professional journey working with the Equality Caucus as the Victory Institute’s Congressional Fellow.
