Pooja Prabhakaran

Pooja Prabhakaran is the Director of Elected and Appointed Officials Engagement, serving as the main liaison for LGBTQ+ Victory Institute’s expanding network of elected and appointed officials. Before joining Victory, Pooja was the Manager of Public Programs at the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University. In this role, she oversaw the Center’s public programs, including their annual campaign training conference for women and their six-day residential public leadership program for college students. Pooja also worked for a gubernatorial campaign and a congressional campaign both in New Jersey.

Pooja received her bachelor’s in Political Science and Philosophy from Rutgers University-New Brunswick and her Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University-Newark. Pooja is also a visual artist and can be found drawing or painting in her free time.
