Leilani Fletcher (they/them/elle) serves as the U.S. Programs Manager for LGBTQ+ Victory Institute.

An NYC native, Leilani is passionate about LGBTQ+ and anti-racist organizing with a focus on empowering queer and trans youth of color. Throughout their undergraduate career, Leilani held various leadership roles that uplifted and supported the LGBTQ+ community through their work as a student coordinator and a Change Agent at the LGBTQ+ Center. Leilani also promoted racial equity at Wake Forest through their involvement in the Anti-Racism Coalition, from engaging administrators to discuss institutional changes that support students of color to organizing large-scale political demonstrations. Outside of Wake, Leilani has fought for queer justice as an intern with the ACLU and as a Victory Congressional Intern working with Congressman Ritchie Torres.

Leilani is currently finishing their undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University where they major in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Religious Studies. In their free time, Leilani loves playing video games, the guitar, and spending time with their loved ones.
