Izzy Thissell

Izzy Thissell serves as the Elected and Appointed Officials Engagement Manager at LGBTQ+ Victory Institute. In this role, they focus on supporting and connecting Victory’s network of LGBTQ+ elected officials and political appointees.

Originally from Massachusetts, Izzy studied environmental sociology at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell before moving to the DC area. They have experience managing local and state-legislature level campaigns in Virginia and previously worked as the Northern Virginia Community Organizer for Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia. Outside of work, Izzy enjoys live music, reading, and spending time with their cats.
