Adrián Velázquez

Adrián Velázquez is the Global Programs Manager at LGBTQ+ Victory Institute, supporting the work of the Global Programs team in all programming aimed at increasing the political power and participation of LGBTI people as a pathway toward equality.

Along his career path, Adrián has built a varied skillset combining technical and project management expertise within the areas of human rights, social inclusion, democratic governance, and international development. With the aim to always support more just and equal societies, Adrián’s personal and professional drive has led him to serve in roles in a variety of sectors, from the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Affairs to Open Society Foundations, as well as most recently working in humanitarian aid at Mercy Corps.

Adrián holds Bachelor’s degrees in Latin American Studies and Romance Languages from the University of Oregon.
