Summer 2026 Victory Congressional Internship Application

The Victory Institute's Victory Congressional Internship is developing the next generation of LGBTQ public leaders. Each semester, the Victory Congressional Internship brings outstanding, openly LGBTQ college students to Washington, D.C., for an intensive leadership program and an internship with an LGBTQ+ friendly member of Congress. You will need to submit one letter of recommendation – either from an academic institution or from someone who can speak to your leadership skills. Please have your recommender email the letter directly to Sarah Pope, Director of US Programs, at sarah.pope@victoryinstitute.org. Application deadline: Monday, January 5, 2026 Please note the program begins on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 and ends on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

  • The Victory Congressional Internship is open to all U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, and individuals with work permits, who are currently enrolled and working towards an undergraduate degree while participating in the internship. You must have completed your first year.
