First published in November 2017, Out for America is LGBTQ+ Victory Institute’s annual analysis of the state of LGBTQ+ representation in America.
In the 2022 report, the number of LGBTQ+ elected officials in the U.S. exceeded 1,000 for the first time, and there are out officials holding public office in nearly every state and territory.
