Washington, DC – Today, Mayor Annise Parker, President & CEO of LGBTQ+ Victory, released the following statement about the ongoing conflict in Israel and Palestine:
“A week ago, the world was shaken when Hamas launched a brutal and deadly terrorist attack on civilian targets within Israel. The aftermath is still unfolding and is sure to be long and painful.
The mission of LGBTQ+ Victory is representation—not policy, not theory, but putting people in rooms where difficult decisions are made. The U.S. response will be shaped and voted on by members of the U.S. Congress. Today, there are three U.S. Senators and 10 U.S. Representatives who know that they represent their country, their constituents and their LGBTQ+ community when they cast those votes.
If you pray, pray for peace.”
