Dana Nessel
She/Her
Attorney General, State of Michigan
A former criminal prosecutor and civil rights attorney, Dana Nessel is now serving her second term as Michigan’s 54th Attorney General. Before taking office, Nessel was lead attorney for the plaintiffs in DeBoer v. Snyder, a precursor to the landmark Supreme Court ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges which codified same-sex marriage rights nationwide. Throughout her time in office, AG Nessel has proven herself a staunch advocate for the safety and dignity of all Michigan residents – even and especially against trespasses by the federal government.
