LGBTQ+ Elected Officials by State and Territory

Consistent with 2025, Wyoming continues to be the only state where there are no reported out LGBTQ+ elected officials at any level of government. Alaska decreased LGBTQ+ representation by 50% from 2025. South Carolina and Alabama both doubled their LGBTQ+ representation.  

Camden Hargrove made history as the second Black transgender man ever elected to office in the United States after winning his election to the Menomonie City Council in Wisconsin.
