Michael S. Fuller is a business leader, philanthropist, and LGBTQ advocate who currently serves as chief executive of CD Travel Ventures, a travel-related holding company he founded, and its subsidiary, Fuller Travel World. Recently, he founded Pride Global Travel, which specializes in growing the LGBTQ travel industry. He also leads a private equity firm whose focus is on data-centered technologies and startups. Fuller is the current Board Chair of LGBTQ+ Victory Institute, an organization dedicated to increasing the number of LGBTQ elected and appointed leaders. Throughout his career, Fuller has guided efforts for businesses to embrace and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives in the workplace, receiving multiple awards for these efforts.

Prior to his current roles, Fuller held senior executive positions at global companies including IBM and UnitedHealth Group. At UnitedHealth Group, he drove significant business change globally, identified and capitalized on market growth opportunities, and led diversity efforts. To achieve this, he developed strategies around global acquisitions and their integration, tracked operational management, ensured alignment with strategic goals, and expanded the company’s international opportunities in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. In his most recent executive assignment, based in London, he was the senior leader for one of UnitedHealth Group’s divisions in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group, Fuller held key executive leadership roles at IBM spanning a career of more than 20 years. His last role at IBM was as Vice President and Global Alliance Solutions Leader, based in Shanghai. He led a sales team that spanned Asia Pacific, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. This team partnered with several software innovators such as SAP and Oracle. Coupled with IBM hardware, software, consulting and implementation services, the team generated over $1 billion in annual sales for IBM.
It was at IBM that Fuller’s groundbreaking work led to the company becoming one of the first global corporations to recognize and tap the expanding LGBTQ marketplace. He commissioned the first global study of this market segment, which led to the creation of the first LGBTQ-focused corporate sales team at IBM. He successfully encouraged the company to invest in LGBTQ organizations and was instrumental in mentoring the company’s LGBTQ employee groups across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. Fuller led similar efforts while at UnitedHealth Group.

Fuller is a founding board member of the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, where he served two terms as Chairman of the Board and continues to serve as a board member. He was a board member of the Global Diversity and Inclusion Foundation, where he served as Vice President and Treasurer, and served on the board of directors for the Hetrick-Martin Institute in New York, an organization dedicated to supporting at-risk LGBTQ youth. He also provides philanthropic support for a wide variety of LGBTQ organizations and issues, as well as institutions of higher education, through the Michael S. Fuller Charitable Trust.
