Research consultant sought for research project on LGBTI political participation in the Balkans

Gay & Lesbian Victory Institute and Labris – Organization for lesbian human rights, are looking for a consultant or team of consultants to produce a research publication on political participation of LGBTI people in the Balkans.
Labris and Victory Institute are commissioning this report as part of their work to learn how to increase political participation of LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, and intersex) people in the Balkans.
The overall purpose of the research paper is to have an overview of the current situation of the political participation of LGBTI people in the Balkans and identify entry points for this work with political parties and State institutions, to help inform our work.
The majority of the research will rely on qualitative research methods, including semi-structured interviews. The consultant will also implement a media analysis of instances when political participation of LGBTI citizens is mentioned in the media in the Balkans. The gathered information will help the consultant, as well, to draw some quantitative conclusions and trends.
The consultant will also be reviewing existing reports and literature. The research product will be a report about political participation of LGBTI people in the Balkans, no less than 12,000 words.
Applicants are required to send a letter of interest, methodology on the approach and implementation of the assignment, personal CV of personnel proposed for this project, 3 work references with contact details, and a financial proposal with a breakdown of expenses. Total payment will be 4,500 Euro; if multiple consultants apply, they will split the payment.
