Programs Associate

Programs Associate

Summary:

For over 30 years, LGBTQ+ Victory Institute has helped to train and place thousands of openly LGBTQ+ public officials at every level of government. Our leaders have been catalysts for expanding legal rights for LGBTQ+ people across the country, and they have transformed our nation’s policies and shifted our political landscape towards equality, one election at a time. Today, more than 1,000 LGBTQ+ Americans are serving in elected office due to the work of Victory, including 11 members of Congress and three governors.

Reporting to the Director of Elected Official Engagement and working closely with the Senior Manager for Presidential Appointments, the Programs Associate supports Victory’s expanding network of LGBTQ+ elected and appointed offices in the United States and abroad. The Programs Associate will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge in program management, elected and appointed officials engagement, and event planning.

The ideal candidate is well-organized, strategic, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to balance concurrent projects from multiple teams. Candidates with some level of LGBTQ+ programming and/or experience working with elected/appointed officials, either as a professional or in a student role, are preferred.
