    LGBTI people across the continent continue to face violence and harassment because of their sexual orientations or gender identities, which often inhibits their full participation in society. This lack of security is frequently related to government policies or politics or to a failure in acknowledging or addressing the violence. On this panel, experts will share their perspective on safety for LGBTI people and discuss measures to mitigate the harmful effects that arise when a population is fearful.
