The VCI Scholarship ensures that LGBT college students have the opportunity to work in a congressional office, to learn firsthand about the federal legislative process, and to participate in Victory's leadership development and education program. About the Gay & Lesbian Victory Institute
The Gay & Lesbian Victory Institute is a non-partisan, 501(c)(3) organization based in Washington, D.C., that has trained hundreds of openly LGBT professionals for public service. The David Bohnett LGBT Leadership Fellowship (victoryinstitute.org/fellows) has sent nearly 80 leaders to the Harvard Kennedy School’s Senior Executives in State and Local Government program since 2002. The Victory Congressional Internship launched in 2011, sending outstanding six college student leaders from across the country to Washington, D.C., for internships with LGBT-friendly members of Congress and leadership development training.
